The results of the 19th National College Students Social Practice and Science & Technology Competition on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction have recently been announced. Under the joint supervision of Professor Xiuqiang Li and Professor Chen Yue, two student teams from Li Group stood out among numerous national competitors, winning the second prize in the undergraduate (science & technology) category and the third prize in the graduate (science & technology) category, respectively. These achievements fully demonstrate the group’s sustained innovation capability in smart thermo‑functional materials and green low‑carbon technologies.
The undergraduate team (Jiawei Liu, Jiahao Miao, Zijun Wang, Yangxin Chen, Yan Wang) earned the national second prize with their work entitled “Sweat‑Triggered Cooling, Enduring After Washing – A Sweat‑Responsive Intelligent Cooling Garment for Summer.”This work addresses personal thermal management in hot seasons by developing a smart garment that provides sweat‑responsive cooling and remains durable after repeated washing, combining practicality with energy efficiency.
The graduate team (Menglu Duan, Jiaqi Chu, Fuyuan Cao, Haojie Xu, Guijun Ma, Xiaofeng Jiang, Meng Chen) received the national third prize for their work “One Garment Adapts to All Changes – A Sweat‑Responsive Green Intelligent Thermoregulating Garment.”This project focuses on multi‑scenario thermal comfort regulation, achieving intelligent bidirectional temperature adjustment through green materials and a low‑energy response mechanism.
Both award‑winning projects centre on sweat‑responsive intelligent clothing, reflecting Li Group’s solid accumulation and educational outcomes in personal thermal management and energy conservation.
