On Friday, October 6, 2023, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day double holidays, with a high and refreshing autumn sky, an unforgettable hiking activity was organized under the leadership of Academician Guo and Professor Li, exploring Zijinshan Mountain, the iconic attraction of Nanjing. The activity was aimed at relaxing and experiencing the beauty of nature after scientific research, as well as strengthening faculty-student and team cooperation and communication.
Zijinshan Mountain is the mother mountain of Nanjing and one of the four most famous mountains in Jiangnan, known as "Jinling Yuxiu". The climbing activity started at 2:00 p.m. and was divided into three teams depending on the departure time, which finally met at the Observatory. Participants not only enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery, but also the rich history and culture of Purple Mountain. At about 4:00 pm, the team climbed to the top of the mountain - the main peak of Purple Mountain: the North Peak (Toutuo Ridge), on the Toutuo Ridge can overlook the entire city of Nanjing, the wutong in the early fall is still lush, Xuanwu Lake, Purple Peak Mansion as far as the eye can see, not far away from the Yangtze River, meandering and circling, the river flow, running through the entire city of Nanjing, and a profound feeling of the magnificent The unique charm of Purple Mountain.
